Owen H. Ellington                                       

Owen H. Ellington is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is licensed to practice by the Supreme Court of Texas and admitted to practice before the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Federal Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association (Construction, Federal and Litigation Sections), the Fort Bend Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Transportation Lawyers Association, the Association of Transportation Law Professionals (Executive Vice-President) and a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.

Mr. Ellington and the firm hold AV® Ratings in the Martindale-Hubbell’s Law Directory, and listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. Mr. Ellington gained substantial trial experience early in his career where he assisted in the trial of several mass product liability cases.

Mr. Ellington received his bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1982 from the University of Texas at Austin and worked as a journalist prior to entering law school at the University of Houston, College of Law. Mr. Ellington speaks conversational Spanish, having been born and raised in El Paso, Texas.

The majority of Mr. Ellington’s practice is concentrated in the area of trucking accidents, commercial accidents, oilfield accidents, federal cargo claims, insurance defense, insurance coverage, construction defects and construction accidents.

Mr. Ellington regularly lectures trucking and transportation companies, as well as insurance companies on claims handling practices. He has tried product liability cases involving hundreds of plaintiffs, commercial accidents, premises, wrongful death, negligence and construction (injury and defect) claims.

James P. Davis

James P. Davis was born in Panama City, Florida.  He was admitted to Texas State Bar in 2000.  He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. Mr. Davis graduated from University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBA in Finance in 1992. He received his MBA from St. Mary’s University in  1997, and his JD from St. Mary’s School of Law in 2000.  Mr. Davis is a member of the  Houston Bar Association,  Litigation Section; State Bar of Texas; Texas Young Lawyers Association. His areas of practice are Insurance Defense, Construction Defects, Commercial Litigation, and Products Liability.

Mr. Davis is married with three children, and pursues interests in wine, cooking and running when not practicing law.

Nicole Kalogeropoulos

Nicole Kalogeropoulos graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Legal Studies in 2004. She went to law school at Baylor University School of Law and received her JD in 2007. 

Ms. Kalogeropoulos was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2007. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.

Ms. Kalogeropoulos is also an avid marathon runner when not practicing law, and attended Northwestern University on a cross-country scholarship.
